This led to his detention during the hearing for the conservatorship. John Polderman, the attorney for Charles Bullock, the guardian of Dees, expressed concern regarding the lack of compliance with court orders, and the court concurred with their assessment.
The conservatorship intended to evaluate and protect Dees’ estate, necessitating financial documents from Dale and Mark Weisberg, his assistant.
Weisberg confessed during the hearing that he obstructed Poldermans’ access to financial documents during a visit to the Warner farm and that he failed to submit certain checks due to an oversight.
After determining that Dale and Weisberg were in contempt of court, Judge Catherine Sala of the Lenawee County Probate Court ordered their arrest.
According to the court’s directive, they were handcuffed and taken to the Lenawee County jail until they provided the required documentation.
